In 1957, nurse Elise Sorensen listened and responded to her sister’s difficult situation. Listening to her sister’s
problems, Elise conceives the idea of the world’s first adhesive ostomy bag.

Today, our business includes continence care, ostomy care, urology, and wound care. In all these areas, we are guided by Elise Sørensen’s passion and commitment. Like her, we work closely with people who have intimate healthcare needs. We listen to their needs and respond with products and services that make their lives easier. Kerecis is now a part of Coloplast, it’s an innovative company in the biologics wound care segment along with ATOS Medical which is the Voice and Respiratory division within the company.

Our continence care portfolio includes: Luja Range, SpeediCath intermittent catheters, Peristeen Plus Transanal irrigation devices and a range of urine bags & the new TFL in the IU division which is an all-in-one laser system for lithotripsy, BPH and precise soft tissue treatments.
